WETKEYS.com seeks an experienced Webmaster with a focus on eCommerce to review our online store and offer detailed strategies to improve the user experience and increase sales. This is your chance to create real-world “before and after” for your portfolio. This independent contractor position will be compensated at $15/hour with defined deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review current website and offer detailed strategies to:
-Improve the overall user experience
-Maximize SEO results
-Increase sales
• Revise and enhance:
o functionality of the web site
o the look and feel of the site template
o product views and information format
o site navigation and search functionality
o user-acceptance testing
• Perform thorough unit and system testing to ensure quality applications.
The Ideal Candidate will write a cover letter explaining:
1. Experience developing/administering/supporting SharePoint, Volusion or other e-commerce store solutions provider.
2. Demonstrate ability in the following (experience, course work, etc.):
a. eCommerce & shopping cart functionality
b. Search Engine Optimization
c. JavaScript
d. HTML (free code vs. “easy editor” use)
e. Cross-browser compatibility issues
f. User-acceptance testing
g. Image/Graphics Conversion
3. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, start-up environment
4. Be able to submit a portfolio sample, either online or via email.
