PHP Developer - Part-time (Madison)

City: Madison

Madison based media company looking for a part-time developer that has PHP experience. Position is required to work out of our office in Madison. We have several projects going and there is an opportunity for full-time employment in the future.

-Ability to develop custom, secure, and user-friendly web applications based on open source components
-Attention to cross-browser compatibility, user accessibility, and progressive enhancement strategy
-Experience with Apache and MySQL servers
-Strong knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-Familiarity with object-oriented programming and MVC-based PHP frameworks. Experience with non-PHP Web programming languages and frameworks (such as Ruby on Rails and Django) is a plus
-Experience with jQuery (preferred) or other JavaScript framework
-Knowledge of database management, optimization, and construction of efficient SQL queries
-Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively with other developers, and write manageable, clean code
-Display creativity and initiative
