Web/Magento Developer

I am looking for a strong Magento/PHP developer to work on a custom eCommerce project over the next several months. This is a limited pay project but very flexible on the timeline and design. This is ideal for a student or a work from home developer.

Required Skills:
- 5+ years development object-oriented experience creating complex, large scale applications with PHP 4 & 5 and MySQL.
- 3+ years experience writing HTML, XHTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS (Cross Browser) from scratch (hand-coded)
- 2+ years Magento eCommerce experience
- LAMP, Linux, Apache, MySQL
- Knowledge and Experience using Open Source
- Enthusiasm for emerging technology (AJAX and Web 2.0 APIs)
- Object Orientated Programming Methodologies
- Working Knowledge of the MVC (Model View Controller) Architecture
- UML and Relational Database Design (Database Normalization)
- Complex SQL query Authoring and Optimization (MySQL)
- Version Control (Subversion, CVS)
- Ability and desire to excel in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience with medium to large scale web applications
- Ability to create secure, scalable, and efficient applications for use in high-volume environments

The project budget is estimated around $1500-2500 for all back-end database and code development – to reduce costs I will develop all the graphics while the developer customizes a lean, simple yet innovative ecommerce store for us.
